Tiffany &amp; Co. for decades purchased only pre-cut and pre-polished diamonds from vendors. But it has been striving to transform its diamond business amid a decade of industry boom and bust. The New York-based retailer now is buying uncut diamonds to supply its own cutting-and-polishing plants, in its Laurelton Diamonds unit. Below, photos from Laurelton’s Belgium office, which opened in 2002.&lt;br /&gt;
